Vattenfall Mobile app for Consumer Electricity Consumption

MINIMUM VALUABLE PRODUCT DESIGN – FOLLOW ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION ON YOUR MOBILE

This project is one of the first task of my visual interaction designer role in Vattenfall, a state-owned energy company in Sweden. The redesign of the old mobile app was focusing on consumer users such as customer living in an apartment and those who live in a house. With limited clarity on the consumer sales goals and requirements, our small UX team conducted user interviews and testing based on a 5-day Google Design Sprint to explore important app features and the expectation of an energy app described by the customers. The project's goal was to create a minimum valuable product (MVP) app prototype to help our business colleagues to understand the app service from the customers' perspective.




During the Google Design Sprint, we define our user test goals and extracted knowledge from business experts regarding consumer electricity consumption. Using sprint technique helps us to find out if an idea was good or bad very quickly instead of endless debate with stakeholders.
